Julian Restaurant
The visual identity and brand voice for this new restaurant in a small Kansas City neighborhood took cues from the well-stocked yet welcoming kitchen of its award-winning founder and chef. The name derives from her main cooking influences, Julia Child and her grandfather Julian. The budget was spared by seizing every often-overlooked branding opportunity—using inexpensive objects and elements to communicate upscale comfort food in a setting that isn’t uncomfortable.
